Hello!
2 weeks ago I arrived in Russia.
Kaliningrad is located between Lithuania and Poland and the Baltic Sea, hundreds of km away from mainland-Russia.
I am having a wonderful time here and as soon as I am back in Vienna, ah ch will be in 3 weeks, I am going to publish photos and tell some stories.
Yesterday I actually had a conversation on the phone in Russian - which is more than I wished for in sich a short time.
At the moment all my photos are stuck in my camera, but I did take some pictures with the tablet cam inside the apartment, where I live at the moment.
Enjoy!

Liebe Paula,
ReplyDeleteso wunderbare Impressionen.
I am SO IMPRESSED! You are in a Russian flat, living with gold embossed flowers, you are speaking Russian and you're off to a disco!!! Where will it all end? %-)
ReplyDeleteDear Paula, I left a message but it doesn't appear to have printed. It was to say how impressed I am by your Russian adventure - in a flat with gold-embossed wallpaper, speaking Russian and going to a disco! My visit to St Petersburg involved a great deal of queuing and very little talking!
ReplyDeleteRosemary, finally, your comments made it to my blog! Not only do I love to talk and listen in Russian, my new teacher in Vienna even suggests that we should start to THINK in Russian. You can imagine my delight. :-)
ReplyDeleteSt Petersburg will be our next destination, in February. What a contrast to our Rome-trip in Feb. 2014
I may add: I do miss the diso. There is no disco like the Russian disco.
