The Award "asks me" to tell you 7 things. I was also invited to nominate 15 other bloggers for the award. Unfortunately I don't know any bloggers who have not received the award yet. Actually I know only a few bloggers.
However, I am really happy to tell you these 7 things about me:
1. I dream and remember my dreams almost every morning. This can be exhausting.
2. Whenever I see a stunningly beautiful woman, I can't help but stare at her. I love beautiful women! They never fail to amaze me.
3. Black does not suit me.
4. I have been living in the same place for 15 years, You can imagine the challenge, not ending up with a whole lot of clutter after so many years.
5. I prefer glasses over contact lenses. Although I miss the opportunity of showing off a glam eye-make up since the glasses swallow any attempt to create a piece of art on the upper eyelid.
6. I love "product lines":

And yet another, quite new line to me:
Gosh am I glad that I met this line in my late 30's. No way I could have afforded it before.

Those lines really work for me. My laundry never looked healthier, my hair never enjoyed its length more than it does these days and my skin never looked less pubertal.
7. I have 1 New Year's resolution: No more email-complaints directed to markting divisions in 2011! Whenever I buy somethings that does not meet my expectations, I already sit down and write a letter of complaint. I am the world's biggest complainer and most of the times I receive a reward for taking my time. Vouchers and products as compensation. How cool is that?
However, no more email-complaints in 2011. The heads of marketing who had to sit down and reply to my complaint-letters will appreciate this.
:-)

I found your blog via Faux Fuschia and I'm so glad I did - Makes me want to go back and visit Austria - such a beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteI like your number 7 "thing" - I think I need to complain more often and do it better - every time I've tried to complain I've not gotten anywhere really. How do you word an email to heads of marketing so that they will listen?
Thanks for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteLove your product lines, Paula!
I laughed at your last point - I remember as a child writing to Kelloggs as I had a baby packet of Sultana Bran with no sultanas.
I ended up with about 5 years supply of cereal! ha ha.
Hi Esz! Thank you for taking your time and visiting my blog. (oh, this actually reads like the beginning of a marketing letter).
ReplyDeleteYes, about complaints, is goes like this: I start with a honest compliment, for example when I visited a restaurant-chain where something was bad, I point out how I enjoyed the visit in the other place from the same before and - that I am sure, they will be able to improve their service. Or when I bought a product from Procter & Gamble that was crap, I point out, that after all the positive experiences I made with their products so far, I am disappointed because it does not meet my expectations. Of course I also given them a clue what to send me as recompensation (NOT! another one of the crappy stuff but the other one)
Not bad, huh?
TheStylishShoeGirl, can you imagine, a good friend of mine was so upset once with a nut-and fruit-mix, he counted the nuts (there were way too many peanuts in the mix). The 5 year supply is probably the best I ever heard of! Well, maybe they were happy you did not SUE Kellogg's. haha
Love learning more about you! I KNOW the pink bungalow blog needs photos! I have accepted the camera is gone. My son is calling me from college today to tell me how to add photos from my phone. !
ReplyDeleteHave a pretty day!
Kristin
1. I have heard great things about the Shu Uemera hair mask. I must try it. I used Erno Lazlo skin care when I was in high school. The black soap seemed very glamorous to me.
ReplyDelete2. I LOVE dreams and dreamers.:-)
3.Your #7 made me laugh.
4. Did you see the film Greenberg? Greenberg wrote some hilarious complaint letters to companies.
5.Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Paula...you have great taste! I enjoyed learning more about you. I am a sucker for new product lines as well and I believe if you have put just as much care into the purchase decision of a product as they have put into you then you do have a right to say something! I tend to write letters when I enjoy a product...so much more fun to write! Here is wishing and hoping that 2011 gives you plenty to compliment ;)

Kristin, I am looking forward to seeing all the photos!
ReplyDeleteLa Belette Rouge, I was not aware HOW much you love dreaming. Speaking of which - tonight I went on a rough skiing tour AND put on an Erno Laszlo mask. Quite a balancing act.
Jeanne, thank you for your compliment! Yes, compliment letters, once I wrote one, the french cheese selection in the discounter store impressed me so much. haha. Easily impressed, easily disappointed - that's me.
