Today I planned on posting something funny and witty, some thoughts I have been carrying around since New Year.
Now that a nuclear melt down in Japan is likely to happen – one power plant's cooling system runs only on batteries, due to the earthquake. Those batteries will last only a couple more hours and I don't feel funny nor witty right now. Maybe the area around the power plant will be lucky ... but still, it is almost bizarre: building so many nuclear power plants in most instable region on the whole world.
What really upsets me are the people, mostly US citizens, who twitter, while waiting for the big tidal wave to hit Hawaii as if the catastrophy were some amusement-theme park :-/
This lust for something bad to happen is disturbing. Without the media I would know nothing about all this and enjoy a nice, sunny and warm weekend.
The weekend will be sunny and warm. Hopefully nice, too.
